Wizards Of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez has had a wonderful relationship with Disney so far.
After all, Disney gave the actress her launching pad with guests spots on shows like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana before she landed her star-making turn spot on Wizards.
So it would seem like an easy decision when Ms. Gomez was offered a role in the upcoming High School Musical 3 — but astonishingly, Selena turned the role down.
“‘High School Musical 3’ is cute, and I think it would be a great opportunity for someone else,” she told the New York Daily News.
“But I passed on it because I didn’t want to do it. I plan to take other roles in acting that are challenging for me. After Disney, I want to be taken seriously as an actress for many years.”
A surprisingly mature outlook for a girl who’s only fifteen, we love Selena!!! 🙂
